Residents from seven segments of Cowdray Park have accepted the Government’s Kwangu/Ngakwami program, aimed at servicing the area with essential services like roads, sewer, water, and drainage.
Addressing the residents last week during residential meeting , Hon A Mujeyi, MP for Cowdray Park, emphasised the Government’s vision.
“Cowdray Park being one of them, by 2030 it should be a complete functional settlement with all services put in place.
” This programme represents a significant step toward securing tenure and serves the people of Cowdray Park under the Government’s Vision 2030.”
The programme,is costing US$3,500 per beneficiary payable over 10 years, will cover tarred roads, water reticulation, sewer systems, and drainage according to the HonMujeyi .
Hon Mujeyi,assured the residents of Cowdray Park that no one will lose their home, and special consideration will be given to the less privileged.
Works are set to commence in two months, targeting completion within two years.
Local employment and partnerships with local developers will be prioritised.
“Cowdray Park will be fully serviced and part of the upper middle-income economy, leaving no one and no place behind,” Hon Mujeyi stated.
