Nkosikhona Khumalo, crowned Mister Multinational Zimbabwe, shares his inspiring story of pursuing a modeling career driven by his school performances. Nkosikhona is passionate about representing Zimbabwe, redefining masculinity, and giving back to the community through drug and substance abuse advocacy.

TR: Nkosikhona, congratulations on your achievements! What inspired you to pursue a career in modeling, and why did you choose this path?
NK: My unwavering good performances at school level inspired me to take this path.
TR: As a successful model, how would you define modeling, and what qualities do you think are essential for success in this industry?
NK: Modelling is all about self expression, leadership, and enjoyment. The qualities that are essential are Confidence, ability to lead, and also, Patience.
TR: You’ve been crowned His Mister Multinational Zimbabwe – what does this title mean to you, and how do you plan to represent Zimbabwe on the international stage?
NK: My plan is to raise the Zimbabwean flag high with this opportunity while redefining masculinity.
TR: Your community work is truly admirable. Can you share some of the projects you’ve been involved in and how they’ve impacted the community?
NK: I’m an active Drug and substance abuse advocate and I’ve been to some schools judging modelling or extra curricular events free of charge and inspiring school children out there to be able to express themselves and also educating them of the dangers associated with drug and substance abuse
TR: Who is your biggest inspiration in the pageantry world, and what qualities do you admire about them?
NK: Mister International 2024 /I refer to him as the Nigerian guy. I really love his personality, he is a true definition of a role model
TR: Zimbabwean models often face challenges in the industry. What do you think are some of the main obstacles, and how can they be overcome?
NK: The issue of gender is a problem, people often say male models are Gays “sesilahlekelwe ngomunye wethu” is the statement that they usually say. Solution is to redefine masculinity and the biased Cultural norms and values.
TR: Your sense of style is impressive. Can you tell us more about your fashion choices and what inspires your dressing sense?
NK: Well I love formal wear, hence I have done enough research on formal wear and the secret behind it all is “A Gentleman wears not more than 3 colours” match your colours and look on point.
TR: What are some of the most significant pageants you’re planning to participate in, and how do you prepare for these events?
NK: Right now I’m looking forward to representing Zimbabwe on the international stage on the Mister Multinational pageant that’s taking place in February 2026 and I believe that won’t be the end of my journey, its just the beginning of it all.
TR: How do you balance your modeling career with your community work, and what advice would you give to young models looking to make a difference?
NK: Well I guess engaging with different people helps in balancing my modelling career and community work as I get to collaborate with other individuals in the same industry and outside the industry. As they say, “United we stand”. To other models out there, u are not alone, together we can do it.
TR: Looking ahead, what are your goals and aspirations in the modeling industry, and how do you see yourself evolving in the next few years?
NK: My goal is to make a mark in the industry and hold an international title, be a role model to a lot of kids out there and also be a stepping stone to Aspiring models out there.
