Zimbabwean musician Jeys Marabini has described his recent performance in Linz, Austria, as one of the most memorable moments of his European tour, after performing for an energetic crowd inside an underground tunnel.

Marabini shared his experience on his social media platform, expressing his joy at seeing audiences dancing, making noise and repeatedly calling for more after each song.

“I felt so much joy in my heart to see people dancing to my music, making noise, saying ‘some more’ after every song, happy to the extent of not wanting us to stop the show,” Marabini said in his social media post.

The performance took place in an unusual setting a festival held inside a tunnel approximately 50 metres underground and about 100 metres long.

Reflecting on the extraordinary venue, Marabini jokingly added.

“This festival was held underground in a tunnel, just imagine 50 metres down and about 100 metres long.

“This is not AI, sibagidise strong labafana bami kkkk.”

He also saluted members of his touring team, naming Oktopas, Oskimbo, Benjie, Jasi and Master H for their contribution to the tour.

“Salute boys Oktopas, Oskimbo, Benjie, Jasi, Master H,” he wrote.

The European journey now moves to Vienna, with Marabini thanking the people of Linz for the reception and continued support.

“Our next stop is Vienna, thank you Linz. ONE TIME,” he said.

The musician also expressed appreciation for the growing support he and his team are receiving across Europe, encouraging audiences to continue enjoying their performances.

“We appreciate the support we are getting on our tour here in Europe. Enjoy our performance… Inkomo live performance. ONE TIME Part 10,” Marabini wrote.

From a tunnel deep beneath the ground in Linz to the stages awaiting him in Vienna, Marabini’s European tour continues to showcase the reach of Zimbabwean music while creating memorable encounters with audiences far from home.
