Bulawayo’s music scene continues to heat up, and at the center of the buzz is Fuel The Don, who just dropped a heartfelt new track titled “Stay” featuring the soulful Curtis Dee Rovar. This collaboration blends Afrobeats, RnB, and hip-hop to deliver a sound that’s both fresh and timeless.
When we caught up with Fuel The Don, he shared that “Stay” is all about holding on to the moments and people that matter.
“We all go through ups and downs, and this track is a reminder to cherish the good times and the people who make them special,” he said. “Time and money affect relationships in this age, and this song speaks to that reality.”
Fuel revealed that he reached out to Curtis after vibing with his trapsoul style, especially the track “Cuddle” with J Dumza. “His style is flawless, and I knew we’d create something fire,” Fuel said. “We both brought our unique energy, and boom, the result is magic.”

The duo managed to merge their sounds effortlessly, even though finding the right balance was the biggest challenge. With the support of talented studio minds like Luchi Shiki, Rockie DoUb, and Blaq Smoke, they pushed each other to make a track they could truly be proud of.
“Stay” is a fusion of Afrobeats, RnB, and hip-hop, designed to capture the feeling of longing, hope, and emotional connection. Fuel shared that one special moment in the studio came when Curtis laid down his verse: “The energy in the room was electric, we both knew we had something special.”
This single also marks a new chapter for Fuel The Don as he experiments with sounds, themes, and collaborations that reflect his growth as an artist.
The city’s music scene is thriving, and Fuel believes “Stay” adds to the diversity and richness of what local artists are offering.
“We’re not just making music; we’re telling stories that resonate. I’m proud to be part of this wave,” he said.
Fans can look forward to an EP before year-end, more collaborations, and possibly a tour. He even hinted that there may be more tracks with Curtis Dee Rovar on the way.
Fuel The Don sends love to his team, family, Curtis Dee Rovar, and most importantly, his fans: “Thank you for rocking with us. This is just the beginning.”
