Bulawayo’s favourite funny man, Frank, is closing 2025 in record-breaking fashion. He’s set to light up Middy’s Café with his first-ever one-man comedy marathon, 12 Days of Franxmas, running from December 13th to 24th.
The idea? Simple, yet bold, 12 consecutive nights of laughter. Each show seats only 30 people, meaning 360 lucky fans will get an exclusive ticket to what promises to be one of the most iconic comedy runs the city has ever seen. And at just $10 a ticket, fans also get a free meal to enjoy while soaking up Frank’s best jokes of the year.
“I’m a big fan of setting new records,” says Frank. “I try to do stuff that hasn’t been done before, that’s what brings out my best version.”
It’s not just talk. Last year, Frank made waves with two sold-out nights at the Bulawayo Theatre, a move that inspired other comedians to take the same stage. This year, he’s upping the stakes, reimagining the festive spirit of The 12 Days of Christmas and turning it into a comedy marathon like no other.
And the grind has been real. Frank’s spent the entire year sharpening his material, “the jokes are ripe and ready to be delivered,” he says with a grin.
Ticket sales have already hit 60 in the first week, and if the momentum continues, a full sell-out is well within reach.

Before the local run, Frank is taking his humor beyond borders. His South African tour kicks off in Johannesburg and Cape Town from November 17th to 30th, covering 13 venues, before wrapping up with a show in Gaborone, Botswana, on December 4th.
By the end of the year, he will have clocked an impressive 162 performances in 2025, a milestone few comedians on the continent can claim.
To top it all off, Frank’s consistency and impact haven’t gone unnoticed, he recently earned a nomination for Outstanding Comedian at the Bulawayo Arts Awards.
As December approaches, one thing’s certain, 12 Days of Franxmas isn’t just a comedy show; it’s a celebration of passion, endurance, and the unstoppable rise of one of Bulawayo’s finest comedic exports.
