In a side splitting celebration of cultural fusion, the City of Kings and Queens, rolled out the red carpet for Swiss comedy sensations Vincent Kucholl and Vincent Veillon, aka Les Vincents, as part of the Francophonie Weeks 2026.
The dynamic duo’s visit was a proof to the power of comedy to bridge gaps and bring people together, leaving the vibrant Bulawayo community in stitches and high spirits.
Les Vincents immersed themselves in the rich history and culture of Bulawayo, exploring local heritage sites and connecting with the community at the Alliance Francaise de Bulawayo.
“It was amazing to see how comedy can transcend borders and languages,” said Vincent Kucholl.
Visibly moved by the warm reception.
“The energy of the crowd was electric, and we felt right at home.” Vincent Veillon added.
“We were blown away by the warmth and creativity of the people here. Bulawayo has a special vibe, and we’re so grateful to have experienced it,”they said..
As they navigated the city’s iconic landmarks, from the National Railways of Zimbabwe to the hallowed halls of the Bulawayo Museum, Les Vincents left no stone unturned in their quest to experience the real Bulawayo.
Their antics drew hilarious parallels between Swiss humour and Zimbabwean soul, proving that laughter is indeed a universal language that knows no bounds.
The duo’s visit was a breath of fresh air, showcasing the best of Bulawayo’s hospitality and creativity.
This has been done by the Alliance Francaise de Bulawayo for hosting this wonderful cultural exchange.
Les Vincents left for the ‘No Laughing Matter!’ bilingual comedy night in Harare on 19 March, alongside Zimbabwe’s finest comics.
