Newly crowned Mister Peace International Zimbabwe, Blessed Mutemererwa of Bulawayo, says his title is more than a sash—it is a responsibility.
“I don’t just wear a title; I carry the heartbeat of a continent, the resilience of Africa, and the hope of every Zimbabwean dreaming of a better tomorrow,” he said.
Mutemererwa plans to use his platform to drive peace through youth forums, school visits, and community dialogues, encouraging young people to become ambassadors of peace. Cultural diplomacy also sits at the heart of his mission, as he aims to showcase Zimbabwe’s rich diversity through fashion, storytelling, and public engagement.
He believes peace must be practiced, not preached, and intends to work with NGOs and community leaders on inclusion, conflict resolution, and humanitarian outreach.
As a role model, he urged young men to reject violence and lead with integrity.
“Strength is found in self-control, dialogue, and understanding,” he said.
Looking ahead, Mutemererwa will focus on children experiencing homelessness through initiatives such as “Peace Begins With Me,” while promoting Zimbabwe’s culture, creativity, and resilience on the international stage.
His message to the youth is simple:
“You don’t need a big title or resources to promote peace—just purpose, consistency, and courage.”
