The City of Bulawayo is buzzing with gratitude after Signature Suits, a local company, stepped forward to donate six bins to support the city’s cleanliness efforts.

The donation was received by Councillor Ntombizodwa Khumalo, Chairperson of the Health, Housing, and Education Committee, on behalf of His Worship Senator David Coltart, the Mayor of Bulawayo.

In a heartfelt expression of appreciation, Councillor Khumalo thanked Signature Suits for heeding the City’s call for bin donations, acknowledging the company’s commitment to keeping Bulawayo clean.

Senator Coltart echoed this sentiment, highlighting the progress made in refuse collection since the hiring of eight refuse compactors from the Ministry of Local Government and Public Works.

“Refuse collection has improved significantly, and we urge residents to play their part by disposing of litter in bins,” Senator Coltart said.

He further added,”This not only keeps our city clean but also helps prevent clogging of our drainage system, which can lead to flash flooding during the rainy season.”

Alleta Nyathi, Spokesperson for Signature Suits, emphasised the importance of community involvement in maintaining a clean city.

“It’s everyone’s responsibility to keep Bulawayo clean, and our donation is a small step towards achieving this goal. We’re proud to contribute to the city’s efforts and encourage others to join us in this endeavor.”

The City of Bulawayo is calling on residents to join forces in keeping the city clean.
